IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE FOOD OR PEOPLE, JUST LEAVE.

There are a lot of strange people who do strange things in our world. Things happen on a regular day and things happen on a holiday when friends and family get together, for instance Thanksgiving. Like I said in my title, if you don't like the food or people, just leave.
This happened in Jupiter, Florida. There had been an ongoing resentment among family members. The family sat down and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. It did not appear that there was an altercation prior to this incident.
After dinner, Paul Michael Merhige of Miami left briefly before returning with a gun and killing his pregnant sister, 6 year old cousin and two other relatives. Wounded by this idiot was his pregnant sisters twin and his 79 year old aunt.
This will be a Thanksgiving that will be long remembered by the family and I hope he will remember it while sitting in a jail cell for the rest of his life.

PAYING HIS LAST RESPECTS TO AN OLD FRIEND

A man was on his way to the funeral of a dear friend. On the way there he was arrested for drunken driving after he lost control of his truck and crashed it into a ditch in Hobart, Indiana.
His excuse (maybe it is true) was that a deer ran out in front of him and he swerved to miss it and crashed into the ditch.
Never the less do you show up a friends funeral drunk. I wouldn't but I guess some people do.

TODAYS THE DAY - I THOUGHT

Today is Sunday, five days before BLACK FRIDAY the mega shopping day for all the Christmas specials presented by our local shopping stores, Wal-Mart, Sears, Target and any other store wanting to make a killing on this day. People will be lined up at 3 and 4 in the morning even though the doors to these stores won't open until 5 or 6.

Getting back to Sunday. I arose at about 6:30 a.m. and realized that this was Sunday and the day all the sale papers would be thick with sale items. Instead of sleeping in I dragged myself to the kitchen and started a pot of coffee then dragged myself to the front door to get the Sunday paper. The paper was nice and thick and I imagined all of the good things inside. I pulled the paper from it's plastic sleeve and set it on the kitchen table like I do every morning (it's like a ritual). Took blood sugar count, blood pressure and fixed myself a cup of coffee. I went to the table and separated the sale papers from the rest of the paper and much to my surprise there were very few sales. Then I remembered. Thursdays paper will be the one with all of the sale papers. I guess I could have slept in.

WHERE WERE THEY GOING?

Three people were injured on Tuesday. How did they get injured? It all revolves around a 19 year old driver driving at a high rate of speed according to police. The vehicle crashed into a tree and then rolled over into a yard in Hobart, Indiana after it went off the road on a sharp turn.
In the car were four occupants. The 19 year old driver and three juveniles. Three of the occupants were taken to the hospital.
Where were they going? They were on their way to return a movie at a video store. I don't know if it was late or what but I think that the price they paid was far more that a late fee on the video.

HOW DO YOU GET HIM TO PAY CHILD SUPPORT?

How many people in today's times have a son-in-law who is a loser? I bet there is a lot of them out there.
My daughter is raising three kids ages 5, 10 and 12 by herself, no doubt there are many other women doing the same thing. She was just granted a divorce and the first child support payment was due on the first of November. Guess what? No payment was made. His excuse is that he does no have a job and only makes $1600.00 a month from unemployment. The payment for child support is $378.00 a month and he can't make it. The Attorney Generals office just says, turn him in each time he doesn't pay and we will keep a tab of back child support. Meanwhile he is living at home pays no rent and parties on weekends.
Before the divorce he asked to see the kids. The kids would be all excited and he would not show up or would call and cancel.
He can't get a job because I don't think he can pass the drug test. He works on oil rigs.
I guess there are more losers out there than good guys.

AT WHAT PRICE.

Got up this morning and got a nice hot cup of coffee and started to read the newspaper. Why don't they print any good, happy things in the paper instead of killing, killing, accidents and bombings. They know this guy at Ft Hood did the shooting and killed 13 people not including the unborn baby, that should make it 14. Don't waste time on him EXECUTE him. Remember when we were at war with Japan they put all people of Japanese decent in camps. Are we not at war with Iraq and other rag head countries? Nuf said.

BAD SHOPPING SEASON

Here it is, not even Thanksgiving yet and already Wal-Mart and Target are crying that it is going to be a bad season for sales. They are not thinking about the religious aspect of the Holiday season nor the world situation with the wars and economy, it's just people are not spending enough money in their stores that buy goods from foreign countries and screw the American workers. If possible (and I know it's hard) we should shop at stores that sell American made products and really hear them cry.
Remember when BLACK FRIDAY was the kickoff of the shopping season? We would be in front of these stores at 4 and 5 in the morning to get the SPECIAL DEALS. It was kind of a tradition to do this. Now every Friday is black Friday with a black Saturday and black Sunday and your lucky is they have at least 3 of the big special deal items in the store. Read the fine print, only three per store or whatever.
They don't care where people get the money to spend just as long as we do it. Take out a loan or borrow from a relative or friend. Just make Wal-Mart happy.

HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED.

When I went to elementary (grammar) school back in the 40's, things were a lot different than what they are now. Principals were trim and proper and when you saw them you knew they were the boss and God forbid that you would be called down to their office for some infraction. They would walk through the school and peek into a classroom to see what was going on, and I suppose that is what is done in schools today or at least should be. One thing that you would never see is a principal riding a razor scooter through the halls. My granddaughters grade school is rather large and today I saw her principal zipping down the halls on a scooter. His comment to me when I saw him was "beats walking". I guess it does.
