HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A SPECIAL LADY.

On March 31, 1945 a wonderful person was born to grace our world and later on in years on October 9,1965 she graced mine by becoming my wife. Today I will buy her a card and her special flowers and present them to her. I will go to her grave and place the card and flowers there to honor her on this day. I know it sounds strange but it is something that I have been doing for the last five years and will continue to do until I can no longer do it. It is a bright sunny day and it should be on her special day. Happy birthday Andie, I love you.

FAVORITE FOODS

Throughout the day I look at many posts and many have a recipe for their favorite meal. I must admit that the ingredients sound mouthwatering and before I scroll down I have this vision of what the meal looks like. They sound good and I have tried some and was very pleased. There is only one thing that sometimes turns me away from a meal and that is the picture. Some foods do not translate into a good looking meal. The picture does not compliment the recipe. So at times it may be wise to list the ingredients and forgo the picture.

THANKS FOR THE COMMENT SARAH

In reference to the post about the old lady who shot a intruder I agree with you Sarah that it might be wise to take a martial arts class to protect yourself.
My daughter who lives in Texas took it one step further, I can't say that I agree with this, but her husband who will be leaving for Iraq soon went with her and bought a gun which is a pretty pink. They applied for a permit to carry a concealed weapon in her purse. There was a 10 hour class which they attended which taught everything about how to handle and understand what a gun is. Then there was a session on firing the gun. She scored 246 hits out of 250 with 186 hits needed to pass. Of course her score put her way above the passing point.
Like I said, I don't know if this good or bad and I can only hope that if the need ever arises she will use good judgement.

ON TV

With winter being here I have a lot of extra time to watch tv, which I do. I like to watch shows like Cake Boss. Auction shows, Pawn Stars and other shows of that nature.
I was watching Cake Boss last night and it had the segment on about Buddy Volastro's (the owner of Carlo's Bakery) wife giving birth to the fourth child. It was a boy. Congratulations!
Carlo's Bakery is in Hoboken NJ and the whole family works there. Sisters, brother-in-laws, cousins and nephews. One big happy family?. I find it to be very entertaining and sometime funny. It's amazing the cakes that they put together.
Pawn Stars, stars the old man, Rick and Rick's son (Corey) and their friend Chumly (the weird one). It's interesting to see the things that people will bring into the shop to either pawn or sell.
Very interesting program.
If you have a chance tune in and give it a look.
