STRAYS?

I watched a movie tonite staring Vin Diesel. As a matter of fact he starred in the movie, wrote it and directed it. I'm used to him being in action movies and I enjoy them. This is far from being that. Just a long drawn out movie that dragged and dragged until it was over. Maybe I'm just not used to seeing Vin in a roll like this. Maybe you, if you see it, will read something else into it. Still like the action films.

HOW DUMB IS DUMB

About a week ago someone, the police didn't know who, stole a car and ran it into Hobart High school then that person stole another car and ran that car into the school again destroying a priceless 1877 Victory Bell. Police had no clues who did. Was it a boy, girl, adult or teenager.

Now comes the dumb part. It was a boy, a 19 year old who couldn't keep his mouth shut about doing it. Someone overheard him "bragging" about his stunt and this person made an anonymous phone call to the police and passed on what he had heard. The tip lead to the arrest of Justin Koon. He told police that he had broken into 20 to 30 cars looking for money to buy the drug Xanax. He told police the cars he stole had keys in them. How smart is that. Those people deserved to have their cars stolen. With the first car he drove to the back of the school and drove it into a concrete school sign. The second car he went to the back of the school and backed that car through a door in the school. He then drove to the front and and crashed it into the Victory Bell. He left the cars and walked away. If you don't know what the drub Xanax is, I didn't, it is a drug to treat panic disorders and anxiety. How about a drug for being dumb. Police said that if he hadn't bragged about this incident that probably would never found out who did it. Just look at his picture in the paper. That tells the whole story.

VALENTINES DAY GIFT

As I have mentioned in my previous posts my daughter in Texas has not received a Christmas gift, Anniversary gift, Birthday gift or a Valentinces Day gift from her husband all this year. I think that's terrible. Does he love her? I don't think so. Well this Valentines Day he brought her a gift. Let me go back a week or so. His mother, who doesn't like dogs, for some reason bought a little mexican dog and paid $400.00 for this dog. She brought it home, had it for one week and deceided that it was stinking up the house. How can a dog the size of a rat stink up a house. Well anyway she sold it to what's his name for $100.00 and he brought it home for Lorri. They already have one of the little mexican dogs and she didn't want another. The big thing was that Lorri had to keep the same name as the mother-in-law gave it and that was Zues. Lorri wanted to change it and after some bitter words she won and named it Gizmo. I think, no I know that she would have liked some jewlery instead. This was just his way of keeping mommy happy.

GOING OUT TO EAT

Yesterday my daughter Julie told me we were going out for breakfast. At 10:45 she picked me up and we went to a place called Sophia's. We have been there before and whatever you ordered was plenty and good or would you say good and plenty. With us were Delaney, Angelica and Julie's friends son RD. We all ordered when the waitress finally arrived. I had what sounded like a mouth watering omlett made with Michigan apples and chedder cheese and it came with hash brown potatoes and two buttermilk pancakes. Big mistake on the omlett, gaged with every bite. The service was bad, real bad. When the food was delivered the waitress forgot to bring syrup and butter. By the time we got those items our food was cold. I hope this was a one time occurence as far as service goes. It was terrible. We will give it another chance in the future just to see if it was a one time thing.

IT'S A BIRD, IT'S A PLANE - NO, IT'S AIDDIN

I have a grandson in Texas who's name is Aiddin and he loves Super Heros. Mom did something nice for him by buying him Superman pj's. He was thrilled as any 3 year old would be. The first night he wore them, mom tucked him in, kissed him goodnight and left the room. I must tell you that Aiddin sleeps in a bunk bed, on top. About a half hour after he was put to bed mom was watching tv and heard a yeeeee and a thud. At first she thought she was hearing things, but then she heard it again and again and again. She thought she better check it out. She crept to Aiddins bedroom and peeked around the corner only to see him jump to the floor, climb the ladder and again jump to the floor. Did I fail to memtion the pj's came with a cape. His eyes widened when he saw mom and he quickly laid down as if nothing happened. Mom gave him a lecture and took the cape off the pj's. With the cape off his super powers were gone and he could not fly anymore so he went to sleep.
